The Dominant 7 or Seventh
The Dominant 7 Chord is a lot used in blues music or in any kind of music with the V7 chord.
The Seventh is one whole step and a half above the fifth or a whole step below an octave.
For example with the C7 we have:
The root (C), the third (E), the fifth (G) and the seventh (Bb)
