The Major Sevenths
The Major seven is often used in Jazz and RnB
It is one half step from an ocave.
For example with the C Major seven or CM7 we have:
The root (C), the third (E), the fifth (G) and the Major seventh (B)
The fingers used are:
1-2-3-5
The Aug 5th
It is also use in jazz. It sounds very nice in an introduction on a V chord.
