Minor scale (also called harmonic minor scales)

Each Major scale has its own relative minor scale. They have the same key signature except that the seventh of the minor scales is raised. It is called the leading tone.

A Minor scale is 3 half steps from its Major scale.

The spaces between the notes are:

1W, 1 H, 1W, 1W, 1H, 1W1/2, 1H

Steps for building a Minor scale on a music staff:

-Write the notes starting from the first note of the scale only on the white keys.

-Write the accidentals of its relative Major

-Raise the Seventh.
